Most patriots are rightly frustrated by what is happening in our country today. We wonder why people aren’t waking up and doing something. I’d like to point out a couple of things that may help us appropriately focus our attention moving forward.
First, average people are too busy with their jobs and families to pay close attention to politics and government. Those that do show some interest usually don’t do so until after Labor Day during election years. This is nothing new. It’s always been like this, at least it has during my lifetime. We shouldn’t have any expectations that this will change. Yes, we can pull out the Thomas Jefferson quote about eternal vigilance being the price of liberty, but it won’t matter. Most people aren’t going to pay attention until the very end of an election cycle. We shouldn’t get too depressed about this because we’ve been able to work in this environment in the past.
Second, things seem to be spiraling out of control because government employees in the DOJ, FBI, State Department, and various intelligence agencies colluded with the media and social media to prevent President Trump from being reelected. That enabled a corrupt, lifelong liar, who is now on the verge of senility to occupy the White House. This is not a conspiracy theory. Elon Musk has shown us plenty of evidence. We’ve never seen anything remotely like this in America. And it should ALARM and INFURIATE us.
The second point is why it is so very important that we do not support candidates in GOP primaries who are part of the system. In my humble opinion, anyone who is a career politician or regularly rotates into a government position when the GOP wins must not get our support. They will not challenge and reform the administrative state, because they are part of it.
Unfortunately, too many people are lining up behind local and national establishment GOP candidates because they want to win. Of course, winning is important. But people need to stop and reflect on WHY they want to win. Does it really matter if it’s a Democrat or Republican that buries us under a mountain of debt and sends our kids to fight pointless wars? No, it doesn’t.
We are at a turning point in our history. The administrative state, national media, big corporations, and establishment politicians of both parties have lined up against our values and our interests. We can’t change this by electing more people who are beholden to them. We need candidates from outside the system to step up and run. I know that is difficult, but it can be done as Donald Trump and Mark Robinson demonstrated. Will you be one of the next patriots who accept the challenge?
